Get up to speed on ITIL Version 3 from the professionals who helped write the books
ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) is undergoing a significant refresh from the current Version 2 to the new ITIL Version 3 with a new set of books
set for launch on May 30th 2007. In line with this important release, HP is proud to announce new courses based on
ITIL V3.
- Upgrade Courses from Version 2 to Version 3
These courses are designed to help customers understand the differences between ITIL V2 and V3 and
have no examinations associated.
- Awareness(HE784). This half-day workshop would be useful for IT professionals who already have
a basic understanding of ITIL version2
- Foundation(HE785) This one-day course is ideal for participants who already have an ITIL Foundation certificate.
- New Courses for Version 3:
Customers who are new to ITIL and would like to start on the ITIL V3 path should attend one or more of these courses.
- Executive Overview This half-day workshop provides executives with an overview of ITIL v3 and its benefits.
- Awareness This one-day class provides IT professionals with a basic overview of ITIL V3
- Foundation and examination This three-day course is intended for customers who require ITIL V3 Foundation certification or are
planning to take other advanced ITIL courses.
HP will offer additional ITIL V3 courses later in the year in conjunction with examination availability from the examining body, APM Group.
During this transition period, we will continue to offer ITIL V2 courses to customers who still wish to take them.

HP's involvement in the IT Service Management industry via the itSMF (IT Service Management Forum)
and with authoring the ITIL V3 Service Operation book and glossary gives us a leading position in providing customers
with the best ITIL V3 training. Additionally, the authors of the Service Operations book, David Cannon and
David Wheeldon are on APM Group's ITIL V3 senior examiner's panel.
